You kept quiet throughout the entire ride home. (I don’t know who I’m supposed to be anymore). You kept your head hung low. We held hands as I walked you to your door. (I don’t know who I’m supposed to be anymore). Sometimes the comfort outweighs the pain.

I’ll figure out who I’m supposed to be and hope like hell there’s more to me, but the look on my face is telling me I am getting old. It’s too bad that growing old doesn’t mean we’re growing up.

The phone’s ringing off the hook. I’m getting more attention now that I am done. (I don’t know who I’m supposed to be anymore). All things must come to an end. I only wish I could have called it a good one. (I don’t know who I’m supposed to be anymore). Sometimes the pain outweighs everything.
